About

We are concerned citizens living in Maui, Hawai’i. Because we live on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, everything is shipped to us. More importantly, we’re almost totally dependent on those shipments for our livelihood and sustenance.

There is a movement within Hawaii to make ourselves less dependent on these imports, by growing our own food and making our own products wherever possible. This website was created to showcase those efforts. If you know of any efforts on the islands, tell us. We’d love to highlight them here.
